Lighting fixture Design

LIGHTING FIXTURE DESIGN.

Concept: The definition of think states:
1. to have a conscious mind, to some extent of reasoning, remembering experiences, making rational decesions. 2. to employ one’s mind rationally and objectively in evaluating or dealing with a given situation.

This light fixture was an oppurtunity to examplify that idea. What if there was a light fixture that could help you in any situation? Similar to a robotic creation that could think for itself. The constructed hypothesis behind this fixture is thinking. Every person is different, we all have different types of skin tones and our eyes react differently to light sources. This competition allowed me to really use my brain as a designer and come up with something that could accomodate to different needs for different people.

Statement: The two gear-like sculptures rotate within eachother allowing the light source from the center to bounce off the vertical gear and disperse through the grid-like features. This allows the actual light to flood into the fitting rooms, on the rear and side walls.
