while studying interior design over the past four years, I've been able to dabble in different types of design projects from; Residential Design, Commercial Design, Retail Design, Corporate Design, Health Care Design and now currently working on Hospitality Design.
However after doing much research and consideration i found i have a strong interest in Yacht Design, Naval Architecture and Engineering.
Usually as a senior part of our curriculum for second semester is to go for an internship for 15 weeks, But since the economy is doing so poorly, a lot of firms are laying off employees, and if their hiring interns, then they're free intern positions.
So the alternative to that situation is a Senior thesis. Something I am very interested in. I see this as a great opportunity where i can take the chance to make my portfolio as strong as possible, before graduation.
So knowing that I have such an immense interest in yacht design this is my thesis proposal:
Research and Studies into the construction of advanced Yacht aesthetics, human interaction and new age technology.
Researching topics about:
If green design can be functional on a constantly moving space
If there are ways that maybe hydrogen could be used instead of fuel
What effects do the naval shipyards have on the ecological surroundings?
just ideas like that
but I'm excited! it's going to be difficult, but I'm ready!

Identity ......Hospitality Project
Individual, unusual, different, unique, expression, original,
personalized,indivisible, all these words describe a human
fingerprint, in the fact that no two are identical. Just like
a snowflake, every human has an imprint that we view on life,
love and experiences. The anatomy and physiology of a
fingerprint is strong, special, and structured.
The Elements of Form, Shape, value and color are seen
through out the selected furniture, finishes and fixtures to
bring the architectural scale of a fingerprint to life.
By using the principles of Balance, emphasis, rhythm,
repetition, openness, enclosure and unity the interesting
layout of protrusion from the floor and the ceiling creates
an observation. When you dine at Identity you’re not just
going out to eat, but you’re introduced to a new experience.

Riverside Medical Center
Riverside Medical Center
Located: springfield, OR
Concept: The Concept behind this Medical Center is focused on
Cannon Beach located along Oregon’s coastline.
Warm sunset colors allow the human to feel energized,
so by bringing warm tones such as red, oranges and yellows
this will brighten up the space, the visitors mindset as well as
the staff working there.
By focusing on warm tones located throughout the family waiting
area and elevator lobby, an uplifting emotion can flood through
the space to keep visitors at ease, while cool, serene hues located
throughout the majority of the patient corridor will allow for the
patients to feel healthy and relaxed. With custom built in frames
around the beds, the patients can feel a sense of protection and
comfort as they stay at Riverside Medical.
